Baby Cubes

Diggs is now 8 months old and has been dabbling in solids for about 2 months.  I have gotten really into making his baby food for him from scratch.  I love that I have control over what goes into his foods, it's a big $$ saver, the foods retain their natural color and quality, and it's so easy to do.  These baby food storage cubes (pictured below) are great.  They are BPA free, they are convenient in measuring out his portions, and they pop easily so I can transfer his purees into a ziplock baggie then re-use the cubes for my next batch cooking.
Along with my stash of breastmilk in the freezer, Diggs now has a collection of vibrantly colored, fresh fruits and vegetables to choose from!  Read more about these baby cubes here.

Gigi,

I applaud you for doing this.

Homemade baby food is very healthy and nutritious because it omits the added sugar and modified starch found in commercial baby foods.

And although these additives are not dangerous, they take the place of the healthier ingredients.

Diggs is very lucky. I'm sure he's enjoying his yummy meals. :-)
